New Dimensions

Barbie Breathitt:

"New Dimensions of Faith and Trust Are Being Released"

Psalm 109 for 2009

This passage opens with, "for wicked and deceitful men have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues. With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause. In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer. They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship...But you, O Sovereign LORD, deal well with me for Your name's sake; out of the goodness of Your love, deliver me."

These few verses let us know that God's love will deliver us from lying words and accusations if we will pray. Psalm 23 assures us the LORD is our Shepherd; we will not be in want, that He restores our soul and guides our paths. Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for He is there to comfort us. God prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. He anoints and causes us to overflow with His goodness, love and mercy.

God will bring us into the bond of the covenant in the coming days, when He fulfills the gracious promises He has made to us.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire is the Grooming and Purging Process

The baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire is the grooming, purging process that removes the chaff and brings us into a new dimension of intimacy and power. Matthew 3:11-12 says, "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come One who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will clear His threshing floor, gathering His wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

Moses said, "Here I am," as he turned aside to see the angel of the Lord in the burning bush that was not consumed by fire. God called Moses by name, warning him, "Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off...for the place where you stand is holy ground." This was Moses' first encounter with the living God, so he hid his face for he was afraid to look upon God. Over the years, God walked Moses through a purification process where, eventually, God could speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. The boundaries and restrictive limitations were consumed by fire.

Joshua 1:5-7 tells us when this process is completed in us no one will be able to stand up against us all the days of our life. "As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and very courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them."

The prophet Elijah did eight miracles in the wilderness with very limited contact with people. However, when the new order was established through Elisha the miracles doubled to sixteen and he interacted with the masses. Saul encountered a blinding light on the road to Damascus. When true vision came the scales fell off his eyes and transformation took place. No longer was he a Saul that persecuted the Church, but he became the Apostle Paul who defended the cause of Christ.

Fresh prophetic voices are arising out of their wilderness, burning-bush experiences. They have received bright revelation from encountering the plans and strategies of Heaven. Leaders with a renewed passion for Christ and extravagant devotion will release the work of His angelic spirits, His ministers of flaming fire in our lives.

The Fiery Furnace Will Fashion Us into the Image of Christ and Our Authority Will Increase as We Overcome

The fiery furnace in Daniel 3 will fashion us into the image of the "Fourth Man."

Furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, "Is it true, you do not serve my gods or worship my image? Now, when you hear the sound of my music, fall down and worship what I have made. If you do not bow down and worship my image you will be thrown into the furnace. Then we will see if your god will be able to rescue you from my hand?"

The three replied to the king, "We do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us from your hand. But even if He does not, and He requires us to walk with Him through the fire, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."

This infuriated King Nebuchadnezzar and his attitude changed. He commanded the furnace heated seven times hotter. His strongest soldiers tied up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and threw them into the blazing furnace. The flames of the fire killed the soldiers as these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blistering, fiery furnace.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his worldly advisers, "Weren't there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?" They replied, "Certainly, O king." He said, "Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods."

Nebuchadnezzar approached the open furnace and shouted, "Come out! Come here!" So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, and the governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.

"The God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, sent His angel and rescued His servants! They trusted in Him and defied my command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God." Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon. (Paraphrased)

No one likes to be thrown headlong into a fiery situation, but when difficulties, bondages or limitations are overcome, our influence and authority is increased. Once these three men walked through the fire, the image of the fourth Man was seared on them and world leaders gathered around to hear their wisdom and counsel.

God will keep us safe as we dwell in His presence. He will hide us from the days of trouble and exalt us over our enemies. We will rejoice for the days of testing, trouble, and trials because they perfect us as fine, pure gold. The favor of the Lord will rest upon His golden vessels and He will establish the works of our hands.

Sin, doubt and disobedience keep us from the promise of entering God's rest. When we rest in Christ He will find His resting place in us. It is the Christ in us that gives us power to demonstrate the "greater works" of the Gospel. New dimensions of faith and trust are being released.

Prepare Yourself!

Mark Chironna:

"Prepare Yourselves! We are About to Step into a New Dimension and Future in the Cloud of Glory"

Prophetic word of the Lord given by Dr. Mark Chironna on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at The Master's Touch International Church in Longwood, Florida:

I hear the Spirit clearly saying, "Prepare yourselves. Prepare yourselves. Something is being released in this season; prepare yourselves." The Holy Spirit is coming in a brand new way; prepare yourself. The visitation of God is coming in a fresh way; prepare yourself. Joshua walked through the camp and said, "Prepare yourself for tomorrow." Saints of God, the Spirit is saying, "Prepare yourself for tomorrow."

We are about to step into a new dimension and future in the cloud of glory. Prepare yourself before God even now. If you need your heart to be cleansed by the Blood, just confess what you need to confess right now. All things are naked and bare before Him with whom we have to do; present your heart to the Father, by the Blood of Jesus. Prepare yourself. The Scripture says that we are to cleanse ourselves of all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Beloved, something is coming—we are actually on the threshold of something we have never known or had before. Prepare yourself.

I keep hearing the Spirit cry, "Prepare yourself. Prepare yourself. Prepare yourself." You are crossing a threshold, prepare yourself. There is a tomorrow you could not see but it is dawning now; prepare yourself. Prepare yourself. There is a new manifestation of the power and glory of God, prepare yourself. Heaven is opening; prepare yourself. The rain of the Spirit is going to pour in torrents; prepare yourself. The wonders and signs of the Almighty are coming, prepare yourself.

Ask, Seek and Knock

"For in the declaration and the utterance of My Son, as He listened to My voice on the mountain, He cried out and said to the multitudes, 'Ask and it shall be given. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened.' I have had you on a journey. You have been asking, you have been seeking, you have been knocking and now I would reveal to you that this is a process whereby I wean you away and draw you away from everything you consider familiar, everything you consider understandable. And I have allowed you to go through a period of darkness and even confusion. And you would say, 'God, where are You?'

"And I would remind you that My Son exhorted you to ask, seek and knock; for the process and the progress of your soul when it asks and when it seeks and when it knocks, leads you through a place of radical disorientation. Many would refuse the progress and the process. But it is a spiritual pathway that you must take if you will learn the way of wisdom and the way of power. You say, 'Well God, You promised.'

"I know I promised. I said, 'Ask, seek, knock and you will find.' You say, 'But I have found loss. I have found dispossession. I have found letting go.' And I would say to you that until you dispossess what you have you can never possess what I want to give to you. Until you surrender your understanding, you will never get My wisdom. You would say, 'Lord, what is at the end of this process?'

"And here I would reveal it to you by My Spirit. Through the disorientation, through the season of confusion and disillusionment, I bring you to a place of mystery. I bring you to a place of wonder and I bring you to a place of awe. For there can be no release of what I desire for My people; there can be no manifestation of what I yearn to give My people, except I draw them by their hunger, by their asking, by their seeking, by their knocking.

"I draw them out of the known, out of the familiar, out of the safe, out of the comfortable, out of the place of possessing what they have had into a place of unknown, uncertainty, confusion, disorientation, disillusionment, disappointment; and in that void, in that void, in the place between the letting go and the taking on, I then bring you into the mystery of faith. And there, as I invite you to step across the threshold into the mystery of faith, is something that goes beyond your comprehension and can only be apprehended by your spirit, for I am bringing you to the spirit of faith."

I Am Bringing My Body into the Way of Wonder

"For do you not know the Holy One of Israel, His Holy Spirit is the spirit of faith? And there, when I bring you there out of the darkness, out of the confusion, out of the letting go, out of the dispossessing, I then bring you into the place of wonder. For am I not a God of wonder? Am I not a God of miracles? Am I not a God who manifests His goodness in the midst of conflict and decision? Know this My people, I am bringing My Body into the way of wonder, for I have seen the failings of My people. I have seen the failings of the traditions of men. I have seen the failings of those who would want to maintain the status quo, and it has been My finger that has been toppling these things, both in the nations and in your personal life.

"Fear not. Fear not, neither let your heart be troubled, for what lies ahead is the way of wonder. I am bringing you into the mystery of faith and the way of wonder; prepare yourself. Cleanse your hearts. Cleanse your hands. Let go of what is no longer necessary; let go of what is no longer useful; let go of what does not serve My purpose; let go of your agendas; let go of your presuppositions; let go of your projections; let go of your judgments and surrender, for you are at the threshold. You are at the precipice.

"You are, as it were, standing on a cliff through the darkest of a night only able to see the shadows of that which is in the valley. But now, as the light on the horizon begins to rise and the sun announces the dawning of a new day, the outlines that you saw in the shadows will become the substance of My provision that you see in the light. For I am taking you out of the shadows into the substance and I declare to you, a new day is dawning and the light is rising and I am bringing you into the mystery and the wonder of My glory!"

He that hath an ear to hear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.

Song of the Lord:
Father, let it be
Father let it be
Even unto me
Father let it be.
Spirit, let me see
Spirit, let me see
Even unto me
Spirit, let me see.
Jesus, set me free
Jesus, set me free
Even unto me
Jesus, set me free.
Father, let it be
Father, let it be
Even unto me
Father, let it be.

Rise up, O mighty man of valour!

Catherine Brown:

"A Gideon Generation is Arising with a New Sound From Heaven"

"The deliverer will come from Zion; He will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins."—Romans 11:26-27

I just received Doug Addison's anointed and revelatory article on the new sound that God is releasing from Heaven to earth. It is a tremendous article and I commend both Doug and this revelation of the new sound of Heaven to you. Reading through it inspired me to write the teaching from Gideon's life below, which parallels many of Doug's observations.

Reading Doug's article also reminded me of the One Million Hours of Praise global praise initiative that I had the privilege of leading from 2003-2005 in which God mobilised more than 60 nations to be part of a new wave of worship on the earth. God taught me so much through One Million Hours of Praise that I had previously misunderstood—namely the pivotal role of worship in mission. I am humbled and gladdened that God opened my eyes to see and embrace this truth.

In late 2005 in response to the word of the Lord, I laid down the vision for One Million Hours, understanding that my part in the global assignment was complete. I did not do this because worship is ever over, but because I had an appointed season to be involved in mobilising others to worship. As I read Doug's article I am presently involved in a different type of global mobilisation, calling leaders to partner in a harvest of 7 million souls in evangelism and discipleship. I share this with you now, dear reader, not because I am trying to advertise "my ministry," but because I earnestly believe worship is the seedbed from which God births revival. Our worship of the King of Kings ushers in His glory and births His Kingdom in us, to us and through us. We were made to worship the Lord with our whole lives, and through our adoration to cause Israel and the nations to turn and embrace the love of God in Christ.

With a humble heart I reiterate Doug's call to the Church to receive the new sound Heaven is releasing to earth; may each one of us stay in step with God's Spirit in love and obedience. God used Gideon to deliver a nation and rescue the harvest. May He raise up a Gideon generation in this century that releases the new sound of Heaven on earth and causes the multitudes to be swept into the Kingdom of God!

The Sound of Suffering

God raised up Gideon and his generation to save the harvest from plunder by the enemy. The Israelites had sinned before the Lord, and for seven years God gave them over to oppression in the hands of their enemies the Midianites. These seven years of oppression and bondage had broken the spirit of the people and all but wiped out their harvest capabilities. The power of the Midianites was so oppressive that the Israelites had gone into hiding and prepared shelters for themselves in the caves, the mountain clefts and strongholds. The enemy was formidable and no matter where or how the Israelites planted their crops, enemies came from other countries and invaded their land, camped on it and ruined the crops. The Israelites were spiritually and physically impoverished. They were facing recession, and they were desperate for God's intervention and cried out to Him for help.

Does this sound familiar to you as you consider the present economic, spiritual and moral climate in which we live in these days?

In response to the plight of His people, God sent them a prophet who reminded them of how the Lord had delivered His people from slavery, bondage and oppression in Egypt, and how He had admonished them never to worship the gods of the Ammonites but yet the people had not listened. Their sin was the reason for their ruination, but God was willing to be merciful to them.

The Sound of Our Harvest Assignment—Christ the Deliverer

The angel of the Lord also came to speak to Gideon while he was threshing wheat in a winepress (the wheat was being threshed there to keep it hidden from the Midianites). The angel said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior" (Judges 6:12).

Gideon wasn't convinced! He questioned if God was with his people, because he had never seen the wonders his father had described. Gideon and his generation felt abandoned by God because they were in the hand of their enemies. Gideon was hungry for a demonstration and manifestation of the glory of God. Interestingly, the angel of the Lord more or less ignored Gideon's response and told him to, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?" (verse 14).

At this point I think we can safely assume that Gideon didn't feel he had much strength to go on. He was hiding from an oppressive enemy that had beaten down his people for seven long years. Gideon was working with just scraps from what should have been a bountiful harvest, and he was doing so in a covert, hidden manner—and here was the angel of the Lord saying go in the strength you have! Gideon's people were hiding from their enemy but God was about to change all that. Gideon was right—his own strength could never establish God's plans in the nation; it is only under an apostolic grace anointing that we can go forth to partner with Christ, the Deliverer of nations.

Gideon replied, "But Lord...how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family" (verse 15).

Isn't it ever true, how the Lord uses our weakness and vulnerability to transform us into faith champions who release His glory on the earth! What of young Joseph, or David or Esther, or Mary the mother of Christ? These young "warriors in waiting" began their journey of faith in a place of utter dependence upon the Lord in times of great need in their nation. Their assignment on the earth was commanded by the Lord of Hosts. God is raising up a generation who is going to become the means by which He will restore the harvest anointing to the Church.

God said to Gideon, "I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together" (verse 16). God is raising up a generation who will be a people of His presence, walking in the revelation and understanding that it is His presence alone that ushers in His transformational power and love. God was promising deliverance of a nation to a young man with a worshipful heart. Worship is a key to harvest breakthrough.

Deliverance Has a Sound—The Sound of Peace

In response, Gideon wanted to present an offering to the Lord and he asked the angel of the Lord to wait while he prepared the sacrifice. Fire flared from the rock on which the goat meat and unleavened bread had been placed as an offering, and then the angel of the Lord disappeared. Gideon suddenly realised that he had seen God face-to-face and was filled with alarm, convinced that he would die as a result. However, God spoke peace to his heart and Gideon built an altar to the Lord Jehovah Shalom. I believe God imparted holy boldness to Gideon in the sound of His voice as He delivered the words of the worship/warfare assignment for which Gideon had been created. Deliverance has a sound; God did not speak of war, at a time of war. Instead God imparted peace in the sound of His voice, and this peace would later become part of the holy-inspired warfare tactics to defeat the enemy.

That very night the Lord instructed Gideon to tear down his father's altar to Baal and to cut down the Asherah pole. Gideon did this even though he was really afraid of his family. He went undercover at night and demolished the evil altar and built a new, consecrated altar to the Lord. After careful investigation it became clear that it was Gideon who had done this. The men of the town demanded of Joash (Gideon's father) that he must die because of his actions. But his father pleaded his case and said that Baal could defend his own cause! Needless to say Baal remained silent. God honoured the worship altar that His servant Gideon had created. Our hearts are the altars of faith upon which God meets us in covenant love to pour out blessing and deliverance.

The Trumpet Sound—Rally the Troops

In the interim period the Midianites, Amalekites and other eastern peoples joined in an unholy alliance and crossed over the Jordan and camped in the Valley of Jezreel. God was still not instructing His people to respond to the sound of war, rather the Spirit of the Lord came in power upon Gideon who blew the trumpet and summoned the Abiezrites to follow him. Gideon also sent messengers throughout the land calling the people to join him. God was releasing a new sound—a call to mobilise, a call to rally the troops, a call to arms—a new message that would release a new sound in worship, but not just yet...

Gideon placed several prayer requests before the Lord, seeking confirmation that God was truly with him to save Israel as He had promised. God graciously responded to confirm Gideon's prayer requests. Early in the morning Gideon and all his men camped by the spring of Harod (the Midianite camp was to the north of them in the valley). The Hebrew word for Harod means "fountain of trembling." God was going to show Gideon and his men how to overcome their fear and walk in faith. The very location where the enemy intended to destroy God's people would become a place of trembling and devastation in the enemy's camp when the hand of God moved.

God came and spoke with Gideon and told him he had too many men! God intended to deliver Israel by His might, not by the power of a massive army and its resources, and He required Gideon to sift the numbers of his fighting men until eventually there were only three hundred men left. God told Gideon to let all the other men go back home and Gideon was obedient to the word of the Lord.

During the night the Lord said to Gideon, "Get up, go down against the camp, because I am going to give it into your hands. If you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah and listen to what they are saying. Afterward, you will be encouraged to attack the camp" (Judges 7:10-11a).

Gideon and Purah did exactly what God had instructed them to do and went to the outposts of the enemy camp. The valley was teeming with the enemy, like a place of locusts. Just as Gideon arrived he overheard a man telling another his dream, "A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed."

His friend responded, "This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands."

Just as it was for Gideon, so it is today—God is releasing a generation of Gideons who will hear Heaven's interpretation, apply it to their personal situations and be propelled into their destinies. Some of these Gideon types will become catalytic in releasing many others into their destiny also.

The New Sound of Harvest Worship—The Enemy is Defeated

When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, "HE WORSHIPPED GOD" (Judges 7:15). God caused a new sound to be released in the heart of Gideon. It was not the sound of the past seven years of bondage and oppression to a devastating enemy, and neither was it the sound of the enemy at war. The sound that prevailed within Gideon was a new sound of victory in worship that caused a synergy and divinely inspired reaction between Heaven and earth: the sound of worship in the surrendered heart of Gideon released strategy for warfare, to overcome the enemy and to reclaim the harvest to the glory of God. God even used harvest symbolism (a loaf of barley bread in the dream interpretation) to speak to His servant of the victory that was fast approaching. God is raising up a generation in an end-time apostolic anointing to recover the harvest. Hallelujah!

Gideon returned to the camp and said, "Get up! The LORD has given the Midianite camp into your hands." Dividing the three hundred men into three companies, he placed trumpets and empty jars in the hands of all of them, with torches inside.

"Watch me," he told them. "Follow my lead. When I get to the edge of the camp, do exactly as I do. When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, 'For the LORD and for Gideon.'"

A New Wave of Worship, A New Way of Warfare

The new sound of worship within the heart of Gideon was pioneering a new wave of worship alongside of a new way of warfare. God had given Gideon a divine blueprint on how to move forward to take back the land the enemy had stolen, which emanated from his response to the heart of God. It wasn't about big numbers of fighting men, it was just simple obedience, radical faith in the midst of national turmoil and a belief in God as the Faithful Deliverer. When Gideon told his men to "SHOUT," he was asking them to do something in a different manner to which they had perhaps been previously accustomed. He was asking them to corporately respond with their instruments (trumpets) in a new way, under a fresh, heavenly directive.

The weapons in their hands were going to be used in a unique fashion to usher in the glory of God. The light of deliverance lay within the heart of the trumpet. It was kept hidden until God's appointed time, and when it was revealed the people of God were victorious over their enemy and perhaps astonished by this sovereign strategy. God is raising up a generation who will worship Him with a new sound that will help to usher in deliverance to the nations. Are we ready to receive this generation of Gideons? Are we willing to receive a new wave of divinely inspired worship and worshippers who will be part of God's end-time army?

Gideon and just one hundred men reached the edge of the camp during the middle watch of the night, just as the guard had changed. Then they blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands. What a mighty noise that must have been as earth aligned with Heaven and God released His mighty delivering power. Wow! How many unseen angels battled alongside this tiny army on the front lines of the battlefield—only God knows. But the three companies of Gideon's army blew their trumpets with all their hearts and smashed their jars with all their strength, and God moved in mighty power.

They each had a torch in their left hands and a trumpet in their right—what an amazing breakthrough light must have bombarded the darkness when the torches revealed their light to penetrate the thick darkness. A light and a sound were released on earth, and I believe light and sound were released simultaneously from Heaven. A new sound, and a glory light, that delivered God's people from the hands of their enemies. The sound and the light were given and driven by the Spirit of God, and therefore they became a sword in the hands and in the hearts of these surrendered servants. Oh, hallelujah! We live in days when God is going to bring deliverance to whole people groups through a new sound of anointed worship, that will cause the hills to melt and the earth to quake as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah releases His unstoppable roar from Heaven.

When the trumpets sounded the Lord caused the enemy to turn its sword on itself. Gideon's men had called out, "A sword for the LORD and for Gideon." This is not what Gideon had initially instructed them to do. He had said to the men to call out, "For the LORD and for Gideon." But I believe there had been an amazing glory outpouring as a result of the worship of these precious ones, and when they walked in obedience to the new sound, God had caused them to come to a place of revelatory understanding that worship is a sword in His hands, with which He will smite and destroy the enemy. This is why they changed their shout and when they opened their mouths they cried out in recognition of God's hand in the battle: "A sword for the Lord!" Glory to His name!

The name Gideon means "feller" (i.e. warrior) and comes from the Hebrew word gada, which means to fell a tree, to destroy anything (cut asunder, in sunder down, off), hew down. Jesus Christ is the Deliverer of nations, and He has destroyed the works of the enemy forever. Let all Heaven and earth worship the Lamb who was slain, who takes away the sins of the world. Amen!

Press through to see the Lord of all Break Through!

PROPHETIC WORD FOR AUG-SEPT: PRESS THROUGH to the BREAKTHROUGH!

By Matt Sorger

Over the last several months the Lord has impressed a word on my heart. That word is PRESS. I have been sensing very strong from the Lord that a new hour of increase is upon us. The Lord wants to place a new level of authority, power and glory upon people. But we have been in a season of PRESSING THROUGH to the BREAKTHROUGH. August through September will be crucial to make this push through into the next season God has for us. It is a time to consecrate yourself in a fresh and deeper way before the Lord. It is a time to wait before Him and allow Him to deal with every obstacle in your life. Allow His Spirit to search out hidden attitudes and sins so that your life is clean and pure before Him. This preparation will bring you into a place where the enemy has nothing in you and you are prepared and ready for the increase God wants to entrust to you.

There is one thing the enemy fears the most. That’s the anointing. He is not threatened by lukewarm, complacent and prayer less Christians. He’s not even threatened by Christians who go to church. He is threatened by one thing, the anointing. It’s the anointing that destroys the enemy’s yoke. The enemy is terrified not just by the anointing, but by believers who carry the anointing!

NEW LEVELS OF ANOINTING, INFLUENCE AND AUTHORITY

In 2 Sam 5: 3-5, we see King David coming under his third level of anointing. This is where he is anointed king over Israel. His first anointing took place when he was a shepherd boy. Later he was anointed king over Judah. And now he is stepping into the fullness of his call and anointing as he is anointed and inaugurated king over all of Israel. His sphere of authority, influence, territory and power was increasing. He was coming into a day of fulfillment.

There are those in the body of Christ right now that are about to cross over into a new level of anointing and into a greater place of increase and fulfillment. A new level of authority, influence and anointing is about to be entrusted to those who have been preparing their hearts and pressing in to this breakthrough. God has been preparing them through a deep process. They have gone through several levels of anointing and are about to come into another season of increase. As God increases His authority and anointing upon people they will be brought into a new level of influence and impact.

OVERCOMING SPIRITUAL RESISTANCE

But the enemy is terrified of this. One thing I have been aware of over the past few months is a sense of pressure and resistance in the spirit realm. Many of you have been experiencing this same sense of resistance or pressure around you. The Lord brought me to 2 Sam 5:17-25. You have to understand when the enemy senses an increase of anointing or authority coming into a person’s life, he gets terrified. Because he knows this will do damage to and destroy his works.
When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king they set themselves up against him. They came to contest the authority that David had been entrusted with. David inquired of the Lord and was reassured by God that the enemy would be delivered into his hand.

2 Sam 5:20 states “And David came to Baal-Perazim, and he smote them there, and said, The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like the bursting out of great waters. So he called the name of that place Baal-Perazim [Lord of breaking through].”

As the enemy came up against David because of the increase of his anointing and authority, God fought on his behalf and delivered the enemy into his hands. If you feel at times the enemy pressing in against you, it may not be because you are doing something wrong. It may actually be because you are doing something right! If you keep yourself in a good place with God, if you stay in the light of His presence and keep yourself from evil, God will deliver the enemy into your hands.

GOD IS RELEASING WARRING ANGELS TO CLEAR THE WAY FOR YOU

But you have to be aware of something. The enemy is persistent. In this account with David he came back a second time. David inquired of the Lord again. This time God said in 2 Sam 5:24 “And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then bestir yourselves, for then has the Lord gone out before you to smite the army of the Philistines.” Just as God dispatched warring angels to fight on David’s behalf, so God is releasing warring angels to go before His people to clear out every obstacle and hindrance that would attempt to stand before you.

BE MORE PERSISTENT THAN THE ENEMY

Just because the enemy comes back again and presses again, that does not mean that you didn’t get a breakthrough. It just means you have to determine in your heart that you are going to be more persistent than the enemy. The word of the Lord is PRESS. When the enemy presses in against you, you must press back against him. As you do, God is bringing you into this place called Baal-Perazim. He is bringing you into the place of BREAKTHROUGH. Persistence will be a key for you.

The reason you have been going through what you have been going through is because you are about to come into a new place of increase, authority and influence. The enemy is terrified of this, but he will not prevail. God is putting a breaker anointing on you today so that you can successfully PRESS all the way through.

I encourage you as we finish out August and make our way into September that you spend time before the Lord allowing Him to do a deeper work of consecration than ever before. Let go of whatever you need to let go of. Purge your life of whatever doesn’t belong there. Spend time in God’s presence and press through all resistance in the spirit realm through persistent prayer, worship and a holy, consecrated life. And watch what God will do in you and through you as we enter into this next season.

PRAYER

Lord I surrender in a fresh way every area of my heart and life to You. May I be completely consecrated to You and may the enemy have nothing in me. May I be full of Your light and truth and may I be ready to move into the season of increase and blessing You have for me. May Your glory, authority, presence and power rest upon my life in new dimensions. May my impact for Your kingdom increase in this hour as I fully surrender my all to You, in Jesus’ name. Give me the strength and endurance I need. I thank You for BREAKTHROUGH IN EVERY AREA OF MY LIFE, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
